Now in its third year of joint research between PILOT and Wacom, this year we focused on the writing sound of writing letters. Real pleasure and potential of figure art

MINAMOTO was born with the aim of introducing more people to the possibilities of the figure art creator and its world. Touching on the realistic live creation of prototype sculptors, will introduce the development of figure artifacts that MINAMOTO has produced so far, including VR avatars, paintings by the finishers, and webtoon works with strong potential to become the talk of the town in the future.

Trojan Horse was a Unicorn (THU), a community that aims to realize a more creative world, will present a story telling session with Wacom about their encounter and future development, based on the theme that there is always a story at the root of creativity. The event will also introduce examples of THU Japan held in Kaga City, a city where Japan's proud traditions and culture intersect.

We invite our friends from the SIAF who have been working closely with us on the preparations and introduce the various highlights of the collaboration between Wacom and SIAF.

KISEKI ART 2023 “Deepening”

A new recording method for the 'KISEKI' (trajectory) for digital art is now possible. By timestamping implicit parameters during the creative activity, we try to capture the implicit process and visualize hidden operations by AI, giving users a deeper insight into artwork from different angles.
In KISEKI ART 2023 'Deepening', we aim to uncover the depth of thought hidden in the whitespace of creative journey.

"Metamorphosis" is the world to express art within VR Chat utilizing KISEKI data which visualizes the tracks of an artist's drawings. Contimuing from last year, we will involve Artists who create this wold.
They will gather to share with visitors  about this world where intrsect handwriting data from 2D artwork and the infinite possibilities of VR space, also about  the future of art expression in VR.

Animator Yohei Koike will be invited to present a new type of motion art that crosses digital technology with human physical expression. The physical expression by performers (Tsuyoshi Kaseda and MIDORI) based on martial arts and contemporary will be animated and performed with an animated "other self". Hajime Fukuda's original music will support the stage, and IGN deputy editor Imai will join them to talk about "What is the value of new motio?

"To Draw is To Play"

When a person draws something, his or her brush strokes come alive with his or her unique personality. The application developed by Wacom and Shikumi Design converts the pressure, speed, and other "brush strokes" into unique music. The artist himself/herself is inspired by the music created by own brushstrokes, and the brushstrokes begin to run. Drawing is playing" - this new experience will be presented through the collaboration of artist ktym and Mr. Nakamura.

Takashi Itagaki, art director of the Lumbini Art Museum in Hanamaki, Iwate Prefecture, and Satoru Kobayashi, an artist affiliated with the museum, have been working together for more than 10 years, and will create a collaborative work using a galley press from the past. What was the theme of this year's Connected Ink, "Back to the Forest"? What can we see beyond the forest?
